I few minutes earlier I had just photographed the Wildcat Tornado. I continued to work the storm east and stopped to shoot it here. I was slammed by such a violent RFD (rear flank downdraft) that I was required to hold on to my very heavy tripod lest it tumble into the ditch. The severe wind actually blew two of my camera bags out of the vehicle spilling contents onto the road shoulder. Storm photography can be physically difficult and hard on personnel and equipment.
