Myself and two compadres, Shane Kirk and AJ Dome shot the long track gustnado east of McFarland, Kansas on Monday March 6, 2017. A Gustnado is produced by strong storm outflow winds at ground level. Unlike a classic tornado it is not produced directly by winds in the upper levels of a storm. Gustnadoes are common but usually short lived. This one was rare in that it traveled at least 10 miles. I kept a visual on it for that distance. It may have traveled further after I let it go. Special thanks to Shane Kirk @lightningdude1 and AJ Dome @AJDomer for contributing media to this VLOG effort. Below is footage of an additional gustnado of historic proportions.
