In storm chaser jargon this was a day before the day before the day set-up. That just means it was two days before the main upper low ejected across the Southern Plains. Because the jet stream flow was relatively light this storm did not move for over an hour. Fueled by high August instability and it sustained a persistent updraft. I shot the entire storm from a single vantage point.
